Job Description – Store Manager, Oliver Spencer Toronto

Standard Apparel Inc. is a leading importer and distributor to North American retailers of heritage-based clothing brands. Some of the brands that it distributes exclusively include Fred Perry, Filson, Oliver Spencer, Sunspel, Hudson Bay Company, Aigle and Gloverall. Standard Apparel also operates Fred Perry and Oliver Spencer retail stores in Toronto, Canada.
The Store Manager for Oliver Spencer Toronto will have primary responsibility for the management of all aspects of the Oliver Spencer Toronto retail store located at 962 Queen Street West. This position will report directly to Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at Standard Apparel.
The successful candidate will be energetic and motivated to work towards ensuring that the Oliver Spencer Toronto retail store achieves and exceeds its targets. The successful candidate will be one who treats the store as if it is their own, and constantly examines and reworks any and all aspects of the store that contribute to its success. The store manager must be passionate about the Oliver Spencer brand and understand its history and heritage.
Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
1. Hiring and management of part-time employees;
2. Marketing and promotional activities;
3. Merchandising and fixturing;
4. Pricing of merchandise;
5. Manage the budgeting and buying of clothing for the store;
6. General cleanliness and tidiness of the store;
7. Inventory management;
8. Developing, managing and monitoring store sales targets;
9. Store policies and procedures;
10. Daily deposits and balancing of till;
11. Management of collecting customer data;
12. Ongoing communication with customer database.
We are looking to fill this position immediately. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
